Master's obligations

The master has the following obligations:

1. He must cooperate, such as reduce speed, halt his ship and admit officials on board his ship.

2. He must hand two copies of the crew list to the immigration officer when entering the Netherlands. [the 12-mile zone]

3. He must notify the head of the checkpoint in writing about other persons on board.
   (Section 4.11, subsection b, Aliens Decree 2000)
4. He must immediately report any stowaway.[when entering the 12-mile zone]
   (Section 4.11, subsection 5, Aliens Decree 2000)
5. He must hold the crew list and hand it to an immigration officer for inspection without delay.
   (Section 4.12, subsection a, Aliens Decree 2000)
6. He must report any changes in the composition of the crew and any aliens boarding or disembarking
   (Section 4.12, subsection 1b, c and d, Aliens Decree 2000)
7. He must give notice of intended departure from 6 to 3 hours before departure. If this is impossible, as soon as possible, so that a check can be carried out.
